UKTS is a registered charity, and we rely on donations and legacies from generous people in the community to keep going. Over the years we have provided support to those with thalassaemia and their families as well as funding research and holding awareness events. For more details of our previous work please see the about us section. Currently, we are raising money for Air Glove machines to help those whose veins are hard to find. We are also planning research into bone pain. There are many ways that you can help us to fundraise and continue our valuable work.
Have a look below for some ideas:
Set up a birthday fundraiser on Facebook and nominate UKTS as your charity. Please contact us if you have done this as we would like to thank you. We are not notified about the person who has donated especially if your account is private.
Bake your way to fundraising success. Whether you run the event at work, school or your home be sure to find out about any dietary requirements (or perhaps just favourites) first to maximise sales. Contact us for help with posters etc.
Whether you host your quiz virtually, at your home or at the pub or local hall/leisure centre is your choice. Decide what’s the best option (and available) to you and get working on those questions!
You host the night and guests pay to play. Simple… but the questions might not be!
You could sign up for the London Marathon or if running isn’t your thing how about a sponsored silence, readathon or danceathon for example.
You can be sponsored for near enough anything!!! All you need to do is set up a just giving page with UKTS as the charity of choice at Justgiving
